Meet the Team at Marquette Associates:

Kweku Obed, CFA, CAIA is a managing director for Marquette Associates and serves on the firm’s board of directors. An owner of the firm, Kweku has been with the company since 2014 and has 25 years of investment experience. Kweku chairs the firm’s defined contribution services committee and serves as the primary consultant on several client relationships. Kweku holds a B.S. with honors in economics from Queen Mary College, University of London, and an M.S. in development economics from SOAS, University of London. He is a recipient of the Bernard Corry Prize in Economics. Kweku is a CFA® charterholder and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation. He is the author of The Stranded Fish: Decision-Making Through the Lens of a Fiduciary, and has previously contributed to the official CAIA textbook, CAIA Level I: An Introduction to Core Topics in Alternative Investments, Second Edition. Additionally, he has authored the children’s books Talking About the ABCs of Financial Literacy and Talking About the ABCs of Financial Responsibility. He has contributed two chapters on asset allocation and defined contribution plans to the IFEPB’s Trustee Handbook and he is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

Nat Kellogg, CFA is the president and director of manager search for Marquette Associates. An owner of the firm, Nat has 22 years of investment experience and has been with the company since 2010. As president, Nat assists the executive committee in managing day-to-day activities critical to executing the firm’s strategic plan, maintaining a positive culture, and executing on strategies to improve client results. Nat is the chair of the firm’s OCIO committee and also serves on the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion committee, investment committee, traditional and alternative investment manager search committees, sustainable investing group, and nonprofit services group.Before joining Marquette, Nat was a senior equity analyst at Hudson Securities covering the electrical equipment and basic materials sectors. Previously, Nat was an equity analyst at Brait Specialized Funds, a small-cap focused long/short equity hedge fund. Nat holds a B.A. in history from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Chicago.

Jessica Noviskis, CFA is an associate director for Marquette Associates and has 16 years of investment experience. She joined Marquette in 2020 and provides thought leadership on alternatives investing and capital markets research. Jessica is responsible for leading the due diligence of alternative strategies, providing guidance on product selection, and developing actionable views based on a macroeconomic and capital markets outlook. She is the chair of the firm’s alternative investment manager search committee and a member of the investment committee and OCIO committee. Prior to joining Marquette, Jessica was a senior analyst at 1060 Capital Management where her team managed a long/short equity hedge fund. Previously, she was a vice president at Brookfield Investment Management and an analyst at Artisan Partners. Jessica holds a B.B.A. in finance, investment and banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.S.M. in finance analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Lubar School of Business. She is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
