Alex Poukchanski, Director of Index Analytics, and Marek Dragan, Director of Research Operations, will present an overview of the U.S. equity indexing marketplace from the 1970s to the present, using tools and products developed and maintained by CRSP, to identify and illustrate significant trends and developments over the past 50 years.
In his role, Alex focuses on research and refinement of index methodologies and explores new index ideas. Prior to joining CRSP, Alex worked at J.P. Morgan Investment Bank in the Financial Institutions Group and at Cornerstone Research, an economic consulting company. Alex received his MBA from Yale School of Management, MA in statistics from Columbia University, and an AB in Mathematics from Harvard College.
Marek’s work focuses on CRSP’s historical market data products, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of CRSP’s suite of products spanning back to 1925. Prior to joining CRSP, Marek worked as a financial consultant in Singapore and Hong Kong. Marek holds a MSc degree in Financial Mathematics from University of Chicago and a BS in Mathematics from Purdue University.
