EAG Presents: Commercial Real Estate- Quo Vadis?
Join industry experts for an engaging discussion on the current landscape of commercial real estate. This session will unpack the chances, risks, and outlooks for 2025 and 2026. The speakers will distinguish between sectors like multi-family, offices, industrial and storage. The panel will also dive into the impact higher interest rates will have on public and private investments. Hosted by the Education Advisory Group (EAG).

Speakers:

Moderator: Uwe Schillhorn, CFA

Uwe has been in investment leadership roles for over 20 years covering a broad range of asset classes in public and private markets. Uwe is co-founder of Yupa Fund Services, an investment consultancy helping US public and private investment managers accessing Chilean institutional and HNW investors.  Prior to that, he served as CIO in Principal Financial Group’s international business, managing over $ 130 bn in pension, mutual funds and insurance assets. Before that, he was Head of Emerging Markets Debt at UBS Global Asset Management. He contributed to various investment management textbooks, has been involved in children’s and financial education throughout his career and is currently a member of the Education Advisory Committee of the CFA Society Chicago.  


Kate Davis

Kate brings 20 years of industry experience to the Firm. As a Managing Director in the Portfolio Management group, Kate focuses exclusively on the firm’s open-end core real estate fund. As Co-Senior Portfolio Manager, she works closely with the team to execute the fund’s strategy on behalf of investors.

Prior to joining Harrison Street, she was President & Portfolio Manager at Broadstone Real Estate, where she was responsible for the launch and management of a diversified fund of real estate investments. Before that, she was Portfolio Manager and Head of Research and Operations at Resource America. Over her career, Kate has held a variety of roles in real estate and finance.

Kate holds a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as well as an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Strategic Management. She is active in ULI, CREW and DCREC and is a committee member for The Goldie Initiative.



Reid Liffmann

Reid Liffmann joined TPG Angelo Gordon’s real estate group in 2010 and is the Head of TPG AG U.S. Real Estate. During his tenure at TPG Angelo Gordon, Reid has been directly responsible for, or overseen, in excess of $16 billion of real estate assets. Reid has over 20 years of direct real estate ownership and operating experience with a focus on development, redevelopment and asset repositioning. Formerly, Reid was a partner with Greenebaum & Rose Associates, a real estate development and investment firm focusing on the mid-Atlantic. Reid was previously one of TPG Angelo Gordon’s operating partners and completed several real estate transactions with the firm before joining as an employee. Reid began his career as a real estate financial analyst at LaSalle Partners. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from The George Washington University and an M.B.A. degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Wei Luo, CFA

Wei Luo serves as the Head of Global Macro Forecasting at CBRE Investment Management. She leads the creation of a quarterly series of global macroeconomic outlooks and tracks capital markets intelligence to shape the firm's real assets predictions. She also oversees numerous AI integration and research initiatives.

Wei joined CBRE Investment Management in 2021, bringing extensive expertise in global econometrics and alternative investments. Before this role, she held several positions within CBRE since 2014, encompassing transaction advisory and consulting services.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a minor in Real Estate from Penn State University and holds a CFA charter. Wei is a frequent speaker at industry events and client meetings and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the U.S. National Association for Business Economics.
