CFAW Presents: Utilization of Public and Private Investments

CFAW Presents: Utilization of Public and Private Investments
CFA Society Chicago is inviting everyone to sharpen their knowledge of Public and Private Investments.  This event is hosted by: CFA Women's Advisory Group. All members and their guests are welcome to attend.

In the current investor’s marketplace, there is blending of opportunities between public and private structured assets, corporate credit, real estate, directing lending, and private equity. There are now more product offerings that invests in both public and private assets. Clients are cognizant of their overexposures and need to diversify their investment base especially among insurance and large institutional clients. We are also in an environment of higher yields and must think through the relative value across the wide investment spectrum while being aware of the complexity risks. The panel discussion will focus on three critical topics areas that are being actively being discussed across the investment industry: 1) Portfolio
investment implementation 2) Asset management’s realignment across credit areas 3) Vehicles, balancing illiquidity, evergreen structures versus lock-up structures, platforms, and client type (private wealth, institutional, and insurance clients). Please join us for a lively discussion.
