As we continue our Vault Series, we welcome Lauren Bugay, CFA, Gil Calderon, CFA, and Stacy Devine, CFA.
Join us as they present: Introducing the Family Office space – a discussion with three Chicago-based Investment Officers about their leadership roles and the importance of the CFA Charter

Speakers:
Lauren Bugay, CFA

Lauren Bugay is a Managing Director at Duchossois Capital Management, the Duchossois family’s private investment firm. Lauren is responsible for DCM’s portfolio of investments in venture capital, private equity and public securities. Lauren also oversees the investment portfolio for The Duchossois Family Foundation.

Prior to her current role, Lauren was the Director of Business Development for The Duchossois Group. She was responsible for the organization’s merger and acquisition activity, as well as providing strategic and financial support for the operating companies. Lauren began her career in Corporate Finance at William Blair & Company, executing merger and acquisition transactions, as well as public and private equity offerings.

Lauren received a BBA from the University of Notre Dame, summa cum laude, and went on to earn her MBA, with honors, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is a CFA charterholder.


Gil Calderon, CFA

Gil is the Chief Investment Officer at Five11 Partners, a multi-family office with offices in New York, West Palm Beach, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Before joining Five11 Partners, Gil served as the Chief Investment Officer at M4 Capital Management, a single-family office in Chicago. He also held the position of Director at Sawdust Investment Management Corp., another single-family office in Chicago, where he focused on investments in Private Equity and Marketable Alternative Assets. Earlier in his career, Gil was an investment banker at Mesirow Financial and CIBC World Markets.


Gil is a CFA charterholder and actively serves on the Board of Directors for the Daniel Murphy

Scholarship Fund, a nonprofit that awards high school scholarships to motivated students with financial need in Chicago.


Gil holds a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University. Gil is fluent in oral and written Spanish. 

Stacy Devine, CFA

Stacy Devine is the Chief Investment Officer of RPTC Inc. Prior to joining RPTC, Stacy was a Managing Director and Head of Investments for the Midwest and Canada Regions of Citi Private Bank, working with a range of ultra-high net worth families in the U.S., Canada and Asia.  Before Citi, Stacy was an investment advisor at Barclays (Lehman) and a member of the Portfolio Advisory Group at Goldman Sachs.  Prior to her focus on ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices, Stacy was a senior sell-side equity analyst with Deutsche Bank and First Analysis Corporation, specializing in environmental and industrial service sectors.  She started her career at Ernst & Young as a certified public accountant.  Stacy holds a BS summa cum laude from Drake University and an MBA with honors from Kellogg Graduate School of Management.  In the Chicago community, Stacy is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the Advisory Board for Invest for Kids. She is also a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
