Michelle Beck has recently joined Iron Road Partners as a senior adviser, where she provides expert support to investment advisers with a focus on effective compliance programs, particularly with respect to derivatives, leverage, liquidity, Form PF, Form N-PORT, and analytical model risks. Her previous roles included: four years as a risk management fellow in the Analytics Office of the SEC’s Division of Investment Management; chief risk officer for buyside firms including TIAA Financial Solutions, Nuveen and Russell Investments; and leading roles in market and operational risk, as well as derivative product trading roles, for banks in the US and Europe including Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank during her banking career which started in 1986.
Michelle earned an M.A. in Government from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington in Seattle. She has served on the board of trustees of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), and the CFA Society of Chicago.
Michelle’s publications include a CFA Level 2 reading, “Measuring and Managing Market Risk,” co-authored with Don Chance, Ph.D., published by the CFA Institute in 2016, and “Utilizing Downside Risk Measures,” CFA Institute Conference Proceedings, Third Quarter 2014.

Ana Maria Camelo Vega

Ana Maria Camelo Vega is a Senior Economics and Finance Researcher at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment. Her expertise lies at the intersection of finance, economics, and sustainability. Through evidence-based strategies like green financing and impact investing, she is dedicated to promoting innovative approaches aimed at advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With extensive experience in both quantitative and qualitative research, she expertly analyzes the pathways critical to achieving global climate goals, facilitating the energy transition, and advising various financial sector actors and regulators. At CCSI, Ana Maria leads the work in international climate finance, with a specific focus on emerging markets.
She has led projects in advancing the financing pathways for the energy transition from a regional perspective in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Europe. Her efforts are crucial in creating effective frameworks for the public, private, and institutional financial sectors to transition towards sustainable and resilient economies.
Previously, Ana María worked both in the private and public sectors. At Finance in Motion, she managed multiple technical assistance projects to optimize investment transactions aimed at promoting sustainable finance through the LAGreen Fund. Her efforts supported the issuance of GSS+ bonds in ten Latin American countries, contributing to substantial greenhouse gas mitigation.
She has also served as an economic adviser at Colombia's Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development, and the Ministry of Housing, Cities, and Territory, where she contributed to national strategic priorities, green taxonomy development, and urbanization policy. She also has a rich background in policy analysis.
Ana María holds a Master of Science in Public Policy from NYU's Wagner Graduate School and double Bachelor's degrees in Applied Economics and Global Studies from the College of St. Scholastica.
Uwe Schillhorn, CFA

Uwe Schillhorn, CFA, Investment Officer
Uwe has been in investment leadership roles for over 20 years covering a broad range of asset classes in public and private markets. Uwe joined the Cook County Pension Fund as Chief Investment Officer in June 2023. Prior to that, he served as CIO in Principal Financial Group’s international business, managing over $ 130 bn in pension, mutual funds and insurance assets. Before that, he was Head of Emerging Markets Debt at UBS Global Asset Management. He contributed to various investment management textbooks, has been involved in children’s and financial education throughout his career and is currently a member of the Education Advisory Committee of the CFA Society Chicago.

Allyson Buckels, CFA

Allyson Buckles,CFA, CPA, CIPM is Director at Grandview Analytics where she leads clients through new system implementations, enhanced data reconciliation, process flows, and research projects. With nearly 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Allyson is an expert in performance measurement, attribution, appraisal, and compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®). Prior to joining Grandview, Allyson spent 8 years as Director at Ashland Partners / ACA Performance Services guiding fixed-income and private credit firms through their initial adoption and subsequent claim of compliance with the GIPS Standards. Prior to that, she was responsible for performance calculation, client reporting, and GIPS compliance at Guggenheim Partners. She has also spent time as a fund accountant and external auditor. Allyson earned her MBA from Drake University and her BS in Accounting from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is a CFA charterholder, a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois, and a CIPM certificate holder. She is also a certified yoga instructor. Allyson enjoys cold weather, live music, and film noir. She lives in Chicago with her cats, Natasha and Greta.
Deborah Eades, CFA, JD

Deborah Bielicke Eades has been a a shareholder in the Investment Services Group of Vedder Price P.C. since 1999. Prior to joining Vedder Price P.C., Ms. Eades served as in house counsel at Janus Capital (now known as Janus Henderson). Ms. Eades has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry representing closed-end funds, open-end funds and asset management firms with a particular focus on complex fund and adviser transactions, product development and design, and regulatory and compliance matters. Ms. Eades is a CFA and has earned the Certificate in ESG Investing.
Johanna Anders

Johanna Anders most recently served as Head of Regulatory Compliance at Harris Associates and is a member of the Regulatory Advisory Board of Norm Ai. With over 25 years of experience in financial services compliance across asset management, banking, and insurance, she has a strong track record of leading compliance programs, mitigating risk, and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and automation.
Previously, Johanna was Managing Director and Head of Global Marketing and Communications Compliance at TIAA/Nuveen, where she led strategic initiatives, strengthened core compliance functions, and oversaw regulatory programs across multiple business areas. She has also held senior compliance roles at Charles Schwab, Ameriprise Financial, USAA, and Morgan Stanley/Van Kampen and co-headed the Marketing and Hedge Fund Practices at Berger Legal.
An active industry leader, Johanna is a member of the National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP), the Investment Company Institute’s (ICI) Advertising Compliance Advisory Committee, and the Investment Adviser Association’s (IAA) AI Working Group and New SEC Advertising Rule Group. She has served on boards and committees for the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) and FINRA. She also received a CIO industry innovation award for her work in AI-driven compliance solutions.
Johanna holds the Certified Securities Compliance Professional (CSCP) designation, a B.A. in Communications from Marquette University, and Series 6, 7, 24, 26, 51, and 63 registrations. A frequent industry speaker, she focuses on compliance best practices and the role of AI in regulatory programs.
