Rob Arnott, founder and chairman of the board of Research Affiliates, joins us for our Distinguished Speaker Series webinar on June 10th. Over his career, Arnott has endeavored to bridge the worlds of academic theorists and financial markets, challenging conventional wisdom and searching for solutions that add value for investors. Equity markets have been dominated recently by a narrow subset of mega cap tech companies, particularly in the US and China. Arnott will first seek to address the following questions created by this market dynamic by looking at historical data before taking questions from attendees.
- How do the largest market cap companies tend to perform on a forward-looking basis?
- Does value investing still work in today’s environment?
- Does diversification still work?
- Are there opportunities to find reasonably priced asset classes today in an environment awash with money from central bank accommodation?
