John Ide, CFA, is a managing director, Investor Relations at Deerpath Capital Management since 2019. Prior to joining Deerpath Capital, Ide was a managing director, client advisor for JPMorgan Asset Management for over 20 years where he was responsible for advising US institutional clients including public and corporate pension plans and endowments and foundations on JPMorgan Asset Management’s public equity, public fixed income, private equity, private credit, real assets and hedge fund capabilities. Prior to working in Asset Management, Ide was a director and corporate banker at Banc One Capital Markets where he provided corporate finance solutions to finance and leasing companies in the US. Ide began his finance career with First Chicago in a credit training program. He holds a BA in economics from Lawrence University and an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago. Ide is also a CFA charterholder and FINRA Series 3, Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65. He is a board member and treasurer of Hephzibah Children’s Association.
Matt Kral has been on the recruiting front in financial services for 16 years, primarily focused on the Chicago market. Prior to recruiting, he traded options on the floor of the CBOT, followed by nearly eight years in institutional investment consulting with Mercer and Northern Trust. As an Investment Consultant, Kral assisted endowments and foundations with the management of their asset pools, including asset allocation, manager research and selection, running board meetings, ad hoc projects and overall client relationship management. In recruiting, working for a diverse client base of asset managers, hedge funds, investment consulting firms, family offices, RIAs, private equity and more, he has successfully filled mandates across nearly every level and function.
Rob Mittenthal began his career in executive search in 1989. Prior to co-founding Roberts & Ryan he was the chief operating officer of one of Chicago's top search firms. Under his leadership, the firm made Crain's Chicago Business' Executive Search Firm Top Ten List for the first time, and was recognized by Inc. 500 for being one of the fastest growing companies in America.
Mittenthal has an excellent reputation with industry leaders as a trusted resource for their team building efforts.
