Related Midwest, the Chicago office of Related Companies, is the city’s preeminent developer of luxury condominium and rental homes, affordable housing communities and mixed-use properties. Known for innovative, market-defining projects, including 500 Lake Shore Drive, OneEleven and Landmark West Loop, Related Midwest is also recognized for its leadership in property management, historic preservation, urban planning, environmental sustainability and community hiring.
Today, Related Midwest president Curt Bailey will discuss the successes of the firm’s recently opened projects in Chicago, including One Bennett Park, an ultra-luxury residential tower in Streeterville, with an adjacent 2-acre public park; Lathrop, a historic housing community on Chicago’s North Side that has been revitalized as a mixed-income riverfront community, with restored public open space; and Roosevelt Square, a mixed-income community on the Near West Side that includes a co-located neighborhood library and affordable apartments.
Bailey will also touch upon Related’s proposed projects in the West Loop: a luxury residential tower at 900 W. Randolph St. in Fulton Market District and a mixed-use development at 725 W. Randolph St. that will include luxury residences, offices and an Equinox Hotel and 400 Lake Shore Drive, the former Chicago Spire project in Streeterville. Finally, his presentation will highlight Related Midwest’s plans for one of Chicago’s most anticipated developments: The 78 - a 62-acre, mixed-use neighborhood development adjacent to the South Loop. One of the largest real estate projects ever conceived in Chicago, Bailey will explain how The 78 - which will connect the Loop to Chinatown via the new Wells Wentworth Connector and a half-mile of recreational river frontage - will be a world-class center for technology and innovation, and expand Chicago’s central business district southward.
